When the manufacturer signs off on a shop, it means our equipment, training, and processes meet their factory specifications. We hold ten, plus I-CAR Gold Class and aluminum welding certification.

From a fender bender to a full restoration, we're equipped to bring your vehicle back to factory condition, with the right tools, the right training, and the right paint match.
From minor dings to total front-end rebuilds, we restore your vehicle to pre-accident condition using manufacturer-approved methods.
Officially certified by Tesla and Genesis, for body and mechanical work alike. We have the calibration tools and high-voltage training EV repair requires.
Computer-matched factory paint, sealed in a down-draft booth. The kind of match that holds up in San Diego sun, and against the panel next to it.
Certified for aluminum work on Ford F-150, Tesla and Mercedes-Benz. Repairing aluminum requires a sealed room and dedicated tools; cross-contamination ruins the metal.
Celette frame bench with computerized laser measurement. We don't just straighten metal, we restore the structure that protects you in the next accident.
From a '68 Camaro to a numbers-matching restoration project, we take on classics with the patience and craftsmanship they deserve.
Not just body and paint. Mechanical work runs in the same building, by the same team, so a collision repair that turns up a mechanical problem doesn't become a second appointment at a second shop.
Windshields and side glass replaced here on site rather than subcontracted out. The glass stays on the same timeline as the rest of the repair, with one shop answering for all of it.
Door dings, hail damage and creases worked back out from behind the panel, so the factory paint is never touched. Faster and cheaper than conventional repair whenever the paint is still intact.
Mike Mead opened the doors in 1981 with a simple promise: do the work right, the first time. Same paint match. Same panel fit. Same protection for the next driver to ride in that seat.
Today, his son Patrick Mead runs the shop. Mike's still on the floor most weeks, coffee in hand, looking over a hood or checking a frame pull. Some things you don't hand off all the way.
That's why we built a shop around manufacturer certifications instead of insurance referrals. We don't get paid more for cutting corners. We get to keep customers for life when we don't.

Yes, and with all of them. We handle the claim paperwork and the direct billing on your behalf, so you are not passing messages between us and your adjuster. You are also not required to use the shop your insurer recommends: California law gives you the right to have your vehicle repaired wherever you want.
Our workmanship, for as long as you own the vehicle. That covers the paint, body and mechanical work we performed. It does not cover new damage or normal wear, and it does not cover a part that the manufacturer itself warrants separately.
No. We run a full-service mechanical shop alongside the body shop. Mechanical repairs are done in the same building, by the same team, under the same lifetime warranty, rather than being sent out to a second shop and added to your timeline.
Yes, on site. Automotive glass replacement is done here rather than subcontracted, so a windshield or a side window is handled as part of the same repair instead of a separate appointment somewhere else.
Often, yes. Paintless dent repair works the metal back into shape from behind the panel, which keeps your factory paint intact and is usually faster and cheaper than conventional repair. It is the right call for door dings, hail damage and creases. If the paint is cracked or the metal is stretched we tell you up front and quote the conventional repair instead.
Yes. We are a Tesla preferred repair center for both body and mechanical work, which means Tesla's own procedures, parts and the high-voltage training their repairs require. We hold nine other manufacturer certifications alongside it, including Mercedes-Benz Elite, Ford, GM and Kia.

Torrey Pines Collision Center collects only what you send us: the name, phone number, email address and vehicle details you enter on this site or in an online estimate.
We use it to reply to you, to write your estimate, and to coordinate your repair with your insurance carrier. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone who is not part of getting your vehicle repaired.
Our online estimate runs on CarWise. Photos and details you submit there are handled under CarWise's own privacy policy as well as this one.
Call us at (858) 350-0397 or email tpcollisioncenter@gmail.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it.

An estimate is not a final invoice. Collision work regularly uncovers damage that is not visible until a panel comes off, and insurance carriers approve supplements separately. We contact you before authorizing additional work.
Our lifetime warranty covers our workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle. It does not cover new damage, normal wear, or parts warranted separately by their manufacturer.
